## Kith and Kin: Honoring the Dead, the Living, and the Land

Note: get the Zoom link through https://events.humanitix.com/herb-and-bones

You are invited into a circle of kith and kin —
a space to remember those who shaped us,
and the places that have carried us.

In the old phrase, kin are our people: ancestors, family, chosen ones, beloved dead.
Kith are the places that know us: the land beneath our lives, the creatures and plants around us, the homes, waters, winds, and pathways that have witnessed our becoming.
For this Herbs and Bones gathering, we will enter the sacred meeting place between them.

Together, we will listen for the threads that bind grief to love, memory to earth, and death to belonging.
We will honor not only the people we have lost, but also the places, seasons, identities, and worlds that have passed away within and around us.
We will make space for the tenderness of remembrance, the mystery of return, and the quiet knowing that we do not leave life untouched, nor are we untouched by where we have lived.

With cannabis as an optional sacrament, we will slow down, open the senses, and sit in respectful communion with story, silence, ancestry, and the more-than-human world.
This will be a circle for reverence, reflection, and shared presence — a place to let the dead be near, the earth be felt, and the heart speak in its own time.

Bring whatever feels right to place on the altar:
a name, a photo, a stone, a leaf, a memory, a prayer.
Bring your grief, your gratitude, your curiosity, your longing.
Bring the ones who live in you, and the places that still call your name.

Come as you are.
Enter gently.
Listen deeply.
Let yourself be held by kith and kin.

Come sit with the dead, the living, and the earth that holds us all.
