Silent Films was a dying art by the time City Lights was released in 1931 but Charlie Chaplin took a gamble. After creating the plot and composing the music score himself, he created what most film critics consider Chaplin’s highest achievements and is now rated as one of the greatest American films of all time by the American Film Institute. Chaplin was a comedic wizard and I’m so excited that we get to check out this film on the big screen nearly 100 years later.

The movie starts at 11:00am but I’m asking everyone to arrive by 10:45am so we can find our seats and sit together. After the movie, we can have lunch at Top Burmese or The Triple Lindy (depending on the size of the group) and chat about the movie.

Since this is the only showing for the foreseeable future, I would advise you to buy your ticket when you rsvp, in case it sells out.
