About us
Join the Wednesday Dinners Group for free soup and easy conversation at Calvary United Methodist Church on the North Side (the one with the big Tiffany stained glass windows near Acrisure Stadium).
We’re meeting for a 7-week series, February 18–April 1. Come once or join us every week. Optional after-dinner hangouts include an Ash Wednesday service, a discussion of Unprotected by Billy Porter, and a behind-the-scenes church tour.
All neighbors are welcome. Calvary is an LGBTQIA+ welcoming and affirming space. Come as you are.

Once you’re inside- Soup Dinner: In the Chapel
Enter through the Allegheny Ave doors. Walk into the main worship space (the Sanctuary), then continue through the arches at the front to reach the Chapel. If you use the accessible entrance on Dounton Way, you’ll enter directly into the Chapel. - Ash Wednesday Service: In the Sanctuary
This is the main worship space you enter from Allegheny Avenue.
Volunteers will be around to help direct you if you’re unsure—just ask.
About the Ash Wednesday service (optional)
You don’t need to be a church member—or religious at all—to attend. The service includes the option to receive ashes and marks the start of Lent, a season of reflection, healing, and personal growth. Come if you’re curious; skip it if you’re not.Parking
