What we’re about
This group is for grown women who want to show up for each other.
We’re not here to vent about men or go viral—we’re here to get out of the house, into good company, and into some real-life joy.
If that sounds like you, welcome.
⸻
What We’re About:
This space is for women in Houston who are choosing connection, joy, and more real ones to share it with.
Whether you’re single, partnered, divorced, moved here recently or have been here forever—you’re invited.
This is a soft landing and a solid launchpad.
We get together for things like:
• brunches, happy hours, live shows
• bookstore strolls and farmer’s markets
• movie nights, group trips, quiet hangs, or
• texting someone, “Wanna go with me?”
This isn’t about having the loudest voice—it’s about showing up with real presence.
⸻
What This Isn’t:
• Not a gossip thread
• Not a trauma dump
• Not a meme factory
• Not a space for “pick-me” energy
This group is for grown women who want grown friendship: warm, funny, consistent, and rooted in real life.
⸻
If you’ve been saying,
“I just want somebody to go with…”
Or
“I’m ready to enjoy this life, not just survive it…”
You’re in the right place.
We outside. But chill.
Let’s do this together.

✨ Book Club Kickoff: First Meetup, First Pick
Hey boo—if you’ve been craving a soft space to talk books, laugh a little, and be around women who get it… this might be your thing.
This is the very first meetup of the We Outside (But Chill) Book Club. No pressure, no assigned reading, no awkward circle talk. Just coffee, connection, and picking our first book together from a short and sweet list of four.
Here are the book options we’ll be choosing from (just so you can start thinking 👀):
📚 Something Juicy – Black Girls Must Die Exhausted by Jayne Allen
📚 Something Cozy – The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
📚 Something Deep – The Measure by Nikki Erlick
📚 Something True – The Lightmaker’s Manifesto by Karen WalrondWe’ll vote at the meetup, so no need to decide now. (We’re keeping it light and democratic. No filibusters.)
After that, we’ll let the group rhythm guide how we pick future reads—this isn’t about being super structured, just intentionally together.
