A community for understanding Israeli high-tech through research, public speaking and debate.
High-Tech Boxes is a Tel Aviv community for people who want to better understand what is happening in Israeli high-tech and the global technology industry — without getting lost in an endless stream of posts, headlines and AI-generated content.
Instead, we meet in person, research topics, explain what we find to each other, ask questions and debate.
The idea is simple: learn something, make it understandable, and share it with real people.
Our meetings combine short research sessions, 3-minute presentations in English, visual explanations made on unfolded cardboard boxes, questions and structured debates.
ChatGPT and the internet are part of the process. We use them to find and organize information quickly — and then practice turning that information into something another person can understand.
You don’t need to work in high-tech or have a technical background. The group is open to people who are curious about technology, the Israeli job market and the future of the industry.
English doesn’t have to be perfect either. The goal is to practice communicating ideas, not to demonstrate perfect language skills.
We value curiosity, clear thinking, openness to changing your mind, experimentation and meeting new people.
The format itself is an experiment and will evolve together with the community.
