After focusing on artificial intelligence for the past three events, we’re excited to announce our next Meetup discussion: Innovative Ways to Run your Department with Reduced Staff or Budget!

In an era of shrinking budgets and increasing demands, IT leaders at smaller institutions face a unique challenge: how to maintain excellent service, innovate, and plan for the future—all with limited staff and resources.

This interactive session will focus on smaller institutions or those with smaller IT budgets and how they keep up with day-to-day needs as well as planning for the future.

Key areas of discussion will include:

  • Collaborative Efforts: What collaborations, both within the institution and with other organizations, can schools with limited budgets benefit from?
  • Tools of the Trade: What time saving efforts have worked well with other organizations?
  • Open Source Opportunities: How can IT departments take advantage of open source alternatives to popular software?
  • Automation: Several tools such as Autokey and Powershell can be used to perform more work with fewer resources.

We will be joined by James Stoffel, CIO at Showa Women's Institute acting as moderator. We will also have Frank Hughes, CIO at Cape Cod Community College, and Ray Lefebvre, CIO of New England College of Optometry, as panelists to lead the discussion.

Save the date and join us as we explore innovative ways to run an IT department with a limited staff or budget.
