Going from good to great is hard. Going from “not so good” to great is even harder. This is true of all organizations, not just Higher Ed IT organizations.
Improving your institution’s IT function can be a daunting task, but with the right tools, knowledge, and expertise, it should be possible to create a better IT environment regardless of the size of your university’s campus or bank account.
But what are the most important keys to taking your IT organization to the next level? Every pundit, researcher, and consultant has a different “formula” for success, but what do your CIO peers think? What have been their experiences?
This month’s discussion will be focused on debunking common myths, detailing how Higher Ed CIOs can improve their department’s efficiency and effectiveness and how struggling institutions can respond to today’s pressing technology challenges.
Please join us for our next Meetup event to get the perspective of some of your Higher Ed CIO peers on this topic, but also to share your experiences and advice with others.
This is a great opportunity to also network with other CIOs that share this struggle or to share other challenges and get advice either during the event or after. We are always happy to make introductions.

We will also be joined by Miloš Topić, Vice President for Information Technology & Chief Digital Officer at Grand Valley State University; Tim Winders, Vice-Chancellor Information Services at Purdue University Northwest; and Steve McDevitt, Chief Information Officer at Saint Anselm College.
