Camping Weekend @ Squamish Valley - Newbies Welcome!
Details
Join us for High-Strung’s first group camping weekend at beautiful Squamish Valley Campground! (North Van for carpooling and visibility)
All camping styles are welcome!
⭐ Solo campers are especially welcome! Many of our members will be meeting for the first time, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet. Whether you’re coming alone, bringing a friend, or introducing your family to camping, we’d love to have you join us.
Whether you’re an experienced camper or have never camped with a Meetup group before, you’re welcome! Come for one night or stay the entire weekend - whatever fits your schedule.
This weekend is all about getting outdoors, meeting fellow campers, relaxing around the fire, and enjoying one of British Columbia’s most beautiful landscapes.
Bring your:
- Hammock camping setup
- Ground tent
- Vehicle or overland setup
- Whatever gets you outdoors!
The group campsite has plenty of fantastic trees for hammock campers, but there is lots of room for traditional tent camping as well.

New to Camping or Hammock Camping?
Perfect!
AJ is happy to help introduce anyone interested to hammock camping throughout the weekend.
Club Rental Equipment (not for profit)
If you’d like to try camping before investing in your own equipment, the club has a limited selection of rental gear available. Members are also welcome to rent club equipment for their own camping trips outside of Meetup events, subject to availability.
Hennessy Hammocks
- 3 Adult Systems – $20/night $50/weekend
- 1 Youth System – $15/night $40/weekend
Tentsile Tree Tents
- 2 Stingray Tree Tent Systems (best for 2 adults, maximum 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children) – $50/night $100/weekemd
Ground Tents

Sleeping bags, quilts and pillows should normally be provided by attendees, although limited insulation rentals may also be available ($20/night) if arranged in advance.
100% of club rental fees are reinvested back into the club. They help cover cleaning, maintenance and repairs, while also allowing us to expand our equipment inventory so more people can experience camping before purchasing their own gear.
The goal isn’t to operate a rental business - it’s to make camping more accessible and help grow our local hammock camping community.
Hope to see you happy campers hanging out with us!
