Lovell Canyon Trail: L3 Chip

This hike takes you through some beautiful wooded areas. There are a lot of juniper and pine trees along the trail along with vast areas covered in wild flowers. The trail tends to go up and down in elevation so be prepared for that. The trail will be done in a loop and takes us to Schaefer Springs Trail and then back, a distance of about 5.5 miles. There are some very photogenic areas.

Meetup Time & Location: 0600 am / Mountain Springs Restaurant 19050 NV-160, where we will form carpools and drive to the trailhead.

• Trekking poles - optional
• Helmet – optional, but they do protect your head in case of a fall or falling debris.

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.

Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately, it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
