Mescalito Peak - L 5 Chip

Mescalito Peak is a true gem in Red Rock Canyon, featuring an exhilarating and demanding scramble through rugged terrain.

This is the direct route and requires both technical skill and endurance, as you navigate between towering sandstone walls in Pine Creek Canyon. The climb is extremely difficult, with areas of intense exposure and numerous Class 4+ moves that demand experience and knowledge of yourself and abilities.

The summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of Bridge Mountain, the canyon, and the desert beyond, rewarding those who conquer this challenging route.

Due to the difficulty and risk, all participants will be placed on the waitlist, and only those with proven scrambling experience will be invited.

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.
Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately, it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
