This is a cool peak in the Lake Mead area and one of my personal favorites. This peak had only been done a handful of times before my first summit in 2015 and now it has become a little more popular but still rarely done. A hike across the desert before ascending a sandstone area. Then up an impossible looking climb to the summit but very grippy. I'm going to take an exploratory descent that I have a track for that keeps us more on a sandstone area.

Hike: The Sentinel
Distance: 7.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 1500 feet
Elevation of Peak: 3209 feet
Time: 5 to 6 hours
Class: 3+

Bring 2-3 liters of water, sunscreen, gloves (you will want them coming down!), approach shoes (older if you have them, this hike is hard on your shoes!) and a sense of fun and adventure (super important).
