Eva's Tower - L5 Chip

This hike is for experienced scramblers.

We will take the standard route both up and down. There is lots of scrambling with some very challenging obstacles and a famous ledge with some exposure that is optional.

Meetup Time & Location: 6:00am / Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot - Vista Commons 11710 W. Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135

Gear: approach shoes required for the scrambling; I recommend hiking boots and trekking poles for the trail portion, and then stashing them and changing into approach shoes when we reach the sandstone

What to Bring

• 3+L of water.
• Snacks / Lunch
• Gloves - helpful
• Trekking poles
• Helmet – optional, but they do protect your head in case of a fall or falling debris.

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.

Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately, it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
