Oak Peak - L 5 Chip
Details
This is not a beginners hike.
This is a long, tough hike with lots of scrambling and exposure, and as such, this hike will be kept to a small group.
We will be climbing and descending multiple, very slippery (polished rock), water falls and slabs.
Due to the amount of water in the canyon, we will need to keep up a cautious but steady pace
Everyone will go to the waitlist.
Please bring at least 3 liters of water - do not worry about running out, we can refill from the creek. Also high energy snacks and lunch is advisable so that you can keep up your energy level for the duration of the hike.

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.
Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately, it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
