This is a Level 4 scramble. You must be in good cardio conditioning and keep up with the group.
Tracy Annis and Joe Catellani showed me most of this route.

We will depart from the Kraft Lot at 7:30 so please be on time. There is no cell service available.
I plan on taking the Red and White route up to the top of the drain then descending parallel to it. We'll cross over at the Trash Compactor and work our way South, hitting several slots, chimneys and tight spaces. If we have time, I'll take you by the dinosaur tracks that Joe Catellani found. Finally, we'll descend near the arch and serpent rock and then return to the cars. The route will take 3 to 4 hours so be prepared with all the usual goodies. I suggest elbow and knee pads if you want the extra protection in the slots.
What to bring:
Helmet to protect your noggin
Sticky approach shoes
3 liters of water
Several snacks or sammich
Caribener on your pack
Small first aid kit

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.

Helmets are not mandatory but they do protect your brain.

Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.

Bring sufficient water for the conditions (2 liters should be sufficient in mild weather, 3 liters for hot days), snacks, sunscreen and a hat. Dress in layers for the weather forecast. Sticky shoes are highly recommended.

Distance: 2 miles
Time: 3.5 hours
Elevation Gain: 1000ft
Difficulty: 3/5
Class: 1, 2, 3, 4
