CALICO BIT N PIECES - L3 CHIP

This will be a Level 3 hike in Calico called Bits n Pieces. It's a hodgepod of several routes to include slots, rabbit holes and all kinds of fun stuff. I will take no route in particular and probably meander around hitting spots like Motel 6, the Owls Lair, parts of Slots o Fun, Happy Valley.....making our way to Slab Rift and either descending the Labrynth, Linda Brock route or maybe I'll take you down the Abyss, a long steep narrow gully and slot.
Plan on 3 - 4 hours of fun!

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.

Helmets are not mandatory but they do protect your brain.

Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.

Bring sufficient water for the conditions (2 liters should be sufficient in mild weather, 3 liters for hot days), snacks, sunscreen and a hat. Dress in layers for the weather forecast. Sticky shoes are highly recommended.
