Welcome to Hike Around Skåne!
Join us on our hiking adventures in Skåne, where we explore nature and make new friends. I try to organize a hike every month, any suggestions are always welcome! Make sure to have your notifications turned for this group so you don't miss any new hike announcements.
We usually meet at the train station in Malmö or Lund and take public transport to the start of the hike. Most of our hikes are around 15 to 25 kilometers and we take multiple breaks, to have lunch, check out interesting spots, and if you're lucky we might even have a fika break if someone brought baked goods.
Once we're back in the city, we grab dinner together at a restaurant for those who want to join. Events are free, but you'll need to get your own public transport ticket and bring your own packed lunch.

Finjasjöleden Hike (Rescheduled)

This hike was originally planned for February, but I unfortunately got sick and had to cancel it. We’re now giving it another try!
We’re heading to the Hässleholm area to hike Finjasjöleden, a circular trail around Lake Finjasjön. It is a varied hike with forest paths, sections close to the water, and more open areas around the lake. I’ve been wanting to do this hike for a while, and I’m excited to explore it with you all!
What to expect
We’ll start and end at the Hässleholm train station. Along the way we’ll pass through dense forests, walk right along the shore, and cross some open meadows. There are several nice spots to take a break, with picnic tables and shelters along the route.The total distance is around 23 km, which means we’ll be hiking for most of the day. The terrain is relatively flat and easy, but it is a long walk so a decent fitness level is needed.
Please wear good hiking shoes and dress according to the weather. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and a packed lunch to keep your energy up. Here is a GPX file of the route, so you can check the exact trail in advance if you want.
Meeting point and travel schedule
We are taking public transport as usual. We’ll meet on the train heading to Hässleholm. We’ll be on Öresundståg 1032 towards Kristianstad, and I’ll be boarding at Malmö Triangeln, sitting towards the front of the train.Here’s the schedule:

After the hike we simply catch the train home from there. Trains from Hässleholm back toward Lund and Malmö run regularly, about once every hour, so we don’t need to rush. We’ll likely aim for a train around 4-5 PM for the return, depending on our pace and how long we pause during the hike.Coming by car?
Since it’s a circular hike, you can drive and meet us at the start if you prefer. I recommend parking near Hässleholm station and joining the group when our train arrives.Let me know if you’re joining or have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you there! 🧣🥾
