What we're about

The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities to hike with other like minded outdoor enthusiasts. We are lucky to have the Blue Hills Reservation as part of the Metropolitan Boston area. There are many hiking trails for hikers of all levels of experience to explore. Most of our hikes will be in the Blue Hills. Occasionally we will schedule hikes in other venues in the Greater Boston area as well as New Hampshire.

This group is suitable for moderate hikers and advanced beginning hikers who are in moderately strong aerobic condition doing some other fitness activity.

The pace will be slightly slower than moderate averaging 2.0 to 2.5 MPH for most hikes. The will vary depending on the steepness and rockiness of the terrain. A fit healthy person who walks regularly and exercises can reasonably expect to do our hikes. If you are looking for an advanced fast paced workout, this is not the group for you. Advanced hikers who don’t mind going at a more moderate pace are always welcome.

To become a member you must have a recognizable facial photo of yourself that we use to identify you at our events.
