Ready to escape the daily grind and breathe in some fresh mountain air? We're heading out to Cunningham Falls Nature Trail for a 5-mile hike through some of the most beautiful scenery Maryland has to offer—including one of Marylands largest waterfalls!

This moderately challenging trail winds through rocky terrain, lush forest paths, and opens up to breathtaking views that make every step worth it. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a fun day outdoors, this adventure is for you.

Expect a few climbs, a lot of laughs, and plenty of photo-worthy moments along the way. Bring your friends, your water bottle, and your sense of adventure—we’re hitting the trail soon!

Let’s make some memories on the mountain!

After the hike, we will take a less than 10 minute drive to downtown Thurmont, to the home of HFB member Sarah Auxt and enjoy and relaxing afternoon and cookout in the backyard. (Full address will be shared at the hike, or send a PM for privacy please) Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on, as well as BYOB/wine. Sarah will provide the burgers and hotdogs, everyone else bring a side to share!
