Bears Den Hike (VA) | Dirt Farm Brewery

Hey happy hikers! Meet in the parking lot nearest to Rt 7. We will hike the world famous Appalachian Trail to Bears Den and visit the spectacular view west of the valley!

After hanging out at Bears Den for a short break and some photos, we will make the return loop hike to the parking lot.

The total hike is about 3 miles with a moderate climb and some rocks. This hike is most often rated moderate. I'd say it's on the easy side of moderate. We will hike at a leisurely pace.

After the hike we will enjoy a cold brew at Dirt Farm Brewery and enjoy an unobstructed east view from the top of the mountain. Dirt Farm has the best mountain view of any brewery in VA.
