Appalachian trail, Keys Gap parking lot Rt 9 & Harvest Gap Brewery

We'll hike SoBo or south bound on the Appalachian Trail from the Keys Gap parking lot on Rt 9 towards the Dave Lessor shelter approximately 6 miles. We'll be hiking on top of the ridge line with nice views of the valley. 22 minute miles - a little less than 3 mph. There is about 850 feet of elevation gain whic is approximately 60 stories of an average building. I am rating this hike as moderate

Afterwards we'll gather at The Harvest Gap Brewery 15485 Purcellville Rd, Hillsboro, VA 20132 for food & beverages.

Note: we do start on time so please plan accordingly. We will take a break for snacks, water, and a picture at the shelter.
