Trail Fest at Dirt Farm Brewery!
We will most likely do BOTH the Bears Den and Dirt Farm trails. Show up early for the Bears Den hike, and before beers we’ll do a second hike on the secret Dirt Farm trail.
We will start at the Snickersville Gap parking area trailhead and hike the world-famous Appalachian Trail (AT) white blazes to the Bears Den overlook and trail center. The hike is approximately 1.7 miles with about 300 feet of elevation gain. The trail is mostly dirt with some rocky sections and features a beautiful overlook of the valley to the west.
Our second hike will take place at Dirt Farm Brewery. We will hike the 3.5-mile Dirt Farm trail, which has about 400 feet of elevation gain. The trail features several scenic overlook areas on the east side of the mountain.
After the Dirt Farm hike, we’ll enjoy each other’s company while sharing food and beverages.
