My rating for this hike is Difficult We will climb 1500 feet in elevation over the 5.3 mile hike or the equivalent of a 100 story building. The world trade center topped out at 110 stories. This is an out and back so we will also be descending 1500 feet. The trail is rocky so I do recommend trekking poles and sturdy hiking boots.
Afterwards we will head over to Bear Chase Brewing which is just a half mile from the trail head and one of my favorite places to hang out.
Parking is limited at the trail head but across the street at the top of the hill a large overflow lot is available.
