Walk description
Starting from Epping Station, we’ll head into Epping Forest, which offers a uniquely different hiking experience in winter. For this walk, we’ll traverse the entire length of the forest and pass the remains of Ambresbury Banks, one of the two ancient Iron-Age hill forts within Epping Forest.

Our route will then take us along the River Ching, where we’ll pass by charming boating lakes and ponds. The river flows through Highams Park, famous for its beautiful lake and gardens. The park has a rich history and has been a popular destination for Londoners since the Victorian era.

The walk will finish at Wood Street tube station, on the Weaver line (Overground). We'll have a drink or two before heading home and you're more than welcome to join us 😊
