Law of Attraction Reunion (and Newbie) Hike!!

Let's get together for a Saturday hike in the lovely Laguna Meadow area, followed by a tasty craft beer/food at Alpine Beer Company Pub.

Meet: 2:30 pm at Alpine Beer Company Pub - 1347 Tavern Rd, Alpine, CA 91901. Look for my black, Subaru Outback in the parking lot.

Leave: 2:45 pm promptly to get to the trail head about 3:15 pm.

Hike: 3:30 pm. We will start on Sunset trail, it is approximately 1.5 miles to a small body of water called “Water of the Woods”, at this point we will loop back on the “Big Laguna” trail for approx. 1.25 mi. The trail has gentle rises, vanilla scented Jeffrey pines and Black oaks. It's not a difficult hike, but you will want supportive shoes, sun protection, plenty of water, maybe some snacks. Should take an hour and a half total.

If you want to meet at the trail head, be there before 3:30 pm! Sunset trail can be reached at mile marker 19.1 along the Sunrise Highway 78 (5 miles off I-8, first exit past Pine Valley). You can park on the side of the road but an Adventure Pass is required to park here. I have a pass and can take 2-3 others in my car. If you have a pass, let it be known before and mention how many you can take in your car.

Imbibe and Jibe With New Friends: 5:30 till ... Join us at the Pub afterwards to have a tasty beverage, maybe something to eat, and learn something you didn't know about your fellow hikers.
