This is an easy beginner hike! This is in Red Rock Canyon Open Space. Parking is free and usually there is lots of it. We will also be pairing this hike with a book Wild by Cheryl Strayed. We will go to Jives Coffee and Lounge to talk about it and grab some food- if you have not read the book don't worry about it and come join still

About Book:
"Wild" by Cheryl Strayed is a true story about a woman who hikes over 1,000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail — all by herself — to get her life back on track. After losing her mother, going through a divorce, and making some self-destructive choices, Cheryl decides to take on this huge challenge with no real hiking experience.
The book follows her physical journey through tough terrain, wild animals, and extreme weather, but also her emotional journey as she works through grief, regret, and healing. Along the way, she grows stronger, both mentally and physically.
It’s a story about survival, self-discovery, and the power of pushing yourself even when you feel completely lost.

We hike at about a 2-2.5 mph pace depending on terrain.
