About the Hike
Join us for a spectacular midweek adventure to the Maple Pass Loop Trail, one of the most breathtaking alpine hikes in the North Cascades. This iconic loop offers panoramic ridge views, crystal lakes, and golden larches in full autumn color β€” a true fall classic in Washington.

This intermediate hike rewards you with 360Β° alpine views, vibrant meadows, and mirror-like Lake Ann below. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the changing season, take stunning photos, and meet other outdoor enthusiasts β€” all while avoiding the heavy weekend crowds.

Hike Details
Distance: ~7.2 miles round trip (loop)
Elevation Gain: ~2,000 ft
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
Estimated Duration: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM (including travel, hiking, and dinner stop)

Itinerary
6:00 AM – Meet at Wilburton Park & Ride, Bellevue – organize carpools
6:15 AM – Depart Bellevue
9:30 AM – Arrive at Maple Pass Trailhead, begin hike
1:30 PM – Reach the pass, relax, take photos, enjoy lunch
3:30 PM – Finish hike, head back to trailhead
5:30 PM – Dinner stop in Leavenworth (Visconti’s or similar 🍝🍷)
6:30 PM – Depart Leavenworth
8:00 PM – Return to Bellevue

What to Bring

  • Hiking boots or sturdy trail shoes
  • Warm layers (it gets chilly near the pass)
  • Rain jacket or wind shell
  • Headlamp (for early start)
  • Snacks, lunch, and at least 2L of water
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, and hat
  • Camera for the golden larches 🌲✨
  • Small bag for muddy boots/change of footwear
  • Mandatory : trekking poles, microspikes (if icy)

Cost & Logistics
πŸ’΅ $30 per person to support carpool gas and trip coordination.
Please bring cash or Venmo for your driver at the start of the trip.

We’ll organize carpools at Wilburton Park & Ride for smooth, efficient travel.
