We can hike a little before starting to sledging in Sattel.
It is not long and if you like history, we start where the battle of Morgarten took place.

While I was writing the description, the sledging path was open (Mostelberg-Schlittelweg Schlitteln | SchweizMobil) I hope we will have enough snow, when we will be there.

Other things to do in Sattel:

Another short hike. There is suspended bridge on the top of the sledge path.

If we stay long enough, we can visit this path:

The castle in 18min by foot from the train station Kriens Zentrum Pilatus . The visit starts at 10am. The visit is in german.

We go Castle Schauensee then visit it until 11. Then we hike for real.
I think we will start too late to make the full hike on komoot. Probably we will stop at the bus stop in eigenthal. (number 7 on the map).

Walk description:

The hike starts in front of the boat stop Treib at 10. Then we walk to Altdorf along the coast. We need to reach the concert before 6pm but it is better to arrive earlier to get a good spot.

You need to be fit and have good hiking shoes. (Although ,we mainly follow the coastline, we go up and down all the time)
