CANCELED DUE TO WINTER STORM - Holiday hike: Stokes' Stepping Stones!

Details

CANCELED DUE TO PENDING WINTER STORM and dangerous conditions.
Will be rescheduled.

A charming forest hike with stepping stepping stone stream crossings (might want gaiters). This combines the Swenson, Tinsley and Silver Mine trails for a lovely loop. Length is approximately 7 miles. The hike is modified from the "official" curated loop to avoid roads and include streams.

Parking: Kittle Field, Stokes State Forest. Use main entrance on COURSEN ROAD off Route 206. Drive straight up to the "T" (about 1.5 miles) and turn left, the parking area is just across from the picnic area with bathrooms.

This hike slightly modifies the curated Stepping Stone Trail of AllTrails to avoid roads and hike along Stony brook instead:
