Hoover Wilderness Robinson Creek to Tuolomne

Take a trip in Hoover Wilderness through some beautiful glacial carved valleys to Tuolomne Meadows. This is a one way trip requiring car shuttles. We start the trip at a campground near Bridgeport, a location suitable for final car shuttle coordination. Backpack trip: Starting at Robinson Creek we will climb to Crown Lake, then cross Mule and Burro Passes into Yosemite and Matterhorn Canyon. A layover day will be spent in the vicinity of Miller Lake with a day hike - likely to McCabe Lake (13 mi). We will then follow the PCT to a campsite in Cold Canyon before Glen Aulin. Our final day will be traversing Tuolomne Meadows to our cars where a car will be needed to recover the cars left at our starting trailhead. We will spend the night before departure at a nearby campground and leave most cars in Tuolomne Meadows. Current estimate of cost is $11 per person, plus entrance fees for Yosemite park as needed. We highly encourage carpooling. Backpack days will involve up to 11 miles and 3000 ft elevation gain.
