Cuyamaca Peak Via Azalea and Conejos Trails
Details
This hike follows a variety of sometimes rocky trails, moving in and out of tree cover, as we ascend San Diego County's second highest peak. Views on a clear day are outstanding. Our return route will be a steep fire road. A State Park pass or $10 fee is required for parking. Bring lunch, at least 2L of water, lunch, poles, sunscreen and sturdy hiking shoes. Prepare for sections of wet, muddy trails.
Sierra Club protocols for back country outings require you bring your completed medical form for the hike leader to keep during the hike in case of emergency.
Heavy rain or red flag warning cancels.
