2025 Mountaineering # 2: Pike's Peak

***5am on Saturday MEET in parking lot at safeway parking g lot on w. Colorado ave to carpool to barr trailhead

14er #1. This is a very challenging 24 mile out and back trail that has over 7, 000 ft elevation gain and features fantastic views. Hike back is 24 miles or ride back is 12 mile (PRE-PLAN).

Animals: Friendly and manageable dogs are OK but not recommended because long day and high altitude

Trail conditions: Snow expected at the summit. Hiking poles and micro spikes are recommended.

***NEEDED: WATER, hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, gloves, balaclava, foot and hand warmers, spikes, sunscreen, first aid kit, and snacks/drinks to share. Hiking poles will most likely be needed.
