Group Dog Training Hike in the Arnold Arboretum

Details

Join dog trainer Lindsey Dreszer, CTC for a group dog training hike in the Arnold Arboretum! We'll spend the first 10-15 minutes training one skill to use on hikes and then hit the trail as a group for a leisurely 45-minute hike. We'll train our dogs, enjoy nature, and get to know one another. Lindsey will be available for training tips and advice.

Ground Rules:

  • Dogs should be comfortable greeting dogs of all sizes and temperaments on leash.
  • Force-free, positive reinforcement only. No shock, prong, or chain collars, or slip leads.
  • Dogs should have all appropriate vaccinations.
  • All experience levels welcome!

What To Bring:

  • Your dog on a 6-foot leash.
  • LOTS of high-value treats for your dog. These hikes will be distracting and exciting for your dog, so you'll need treats that really grab their attention.
  • Poop bags.

Location:
We will meet in the grassy area near the intersection of Walter St. and Centre St. to do our training session in a quieter spot that is tucked out of the way.
