Paw Paw Trail **Or Louisville Loop/Adjacent Trail** at Turkey RunPark 5-6 mile

UPDATE: Apparently the pawpaw trail doesn’t drain/dry well after rain and will likely be too muddy to hike. We will still hike from this location, but probably walk the Louisville loop or other adjacent trail. Likely to be at least partially paved.

Join Hike and Bike the Ville for a special, extended hike of the Paw Paw Trail in Turkey Run Park (part of The Parklands of Floyds Fork). This 5.5-mile out-and-back trail is moderately challenging, with an elevation gain of approximately 360 feet, and typically takes around 2 hours to complete.

Named after the native pawpaw trees that line the path, the trail meanders through a diverse forest ecosystem, featuring buckeye trees and a vibrant array of wildflowers, especially during spring. Hikers can enjoy scenic ridgeline views and multiple creek crossings, adding to the trail's charm. The trail is dog-friendly, but pets should be kept on a leash.
