Sunday 11/9 Red River Gorge: Rough Trail, Gray's Arch, Rush Ridge, Martin's Fork

Red River Gorge's trails offer breathtaking natural beauty, with towering arches and incredible ridge views. We'll hike a moderately challenging loop that includes portions of Martin's Fork, Rough, Gray's Arch, and Rush Ridge Trails. The path offers gorgeous scenery and features stairs, bridges, and some inclines. Some minor rock scrambling is required to complete this route. We'll see amazing rock formations including Gray's Arch, Midstep Arch, and Military Wall Arch.
There is a restroom in the parking area at the start of this trail.
The hike distance is just under 6 miles with an elevation gain of 1046 feet. We should finish the hike within about 3. 5 hours, depending on the pace and any stops along the way.
MEETING SPOT:
We will meet at the Rosslyn Park & Ride (just off Mountain Pkwy E Exit 33) at 10:45AM, then carpool to the parking lot for Martin's Fork Trail, which will be approximately 5 miles/10 minutes away.
