Sail in Parade 2025 HPP: (small) Hike Pictures and Picnic

On wednesday 20th August, Sail 2025 starts with the Sail in Parade. Sail happens every 5 years, but the last time was 10 years ago.
An impressive fleet of tallships from over the whole world, naval vessels, innovative vessels willnsail from Ijmuiden via Noordzeekanaal to the Ijhaven in Amsterdam. Thousands of spectators, including us will will be watching this from the shore.

I invite you to join me at this amazing event. It's also perfect to take some awesome pictures.

I plan to take the 11:09 train from Spoor 7A at Amsterfam Central and arive at Zaandam station 11:22. we can wait for 15 minutes at zaandam station for other people to join us there. From zaandam station it's a 30/45 minutes walk to the Kanaalkade. There we will try to find a good spot.

What to bring:
Rain protection, sun protection. your own food and drinks, and your camera ofcourse. If you have one: also bring binoculars.
and always bring your happyself

I expect it to be very busy.

People can leave whenever they want ofcourse or continue at the Ijhaven.
