Hike & Pictures | First Hike of the year @Bergen-Schoorl! (10km)

Let’s kick off the new year with a 10 km hike through the Duinen, one of the most diverse nature areas in the Netherlands. Think dunes, forests, open views and maybe even wild animals!

We take bus 166 at 10:12 from Alkmaar station at platform K to Plein, Bergen Busstation. Many members are travelling from Amsterdam so you could join from there as well! Because the cold weather, we will start the walk immediately when we arrive and won't wait, so if you are late and would like our live location, make sure to be in our WhatsApp group that's included in this description.

### 🥾 The hike

• Distance: 10 km (route could be expanded if the weather is nice and people want to)
• It's a circular walk!
• Pace: steady and relaxed, with moments to rest, take photos, and enjoy the scenery
• Terrain: dunes, forest paths, sandy stretches

### 🎒 What to bring

• To enter the Noordholland Duinreservaat requires the dune card, which is 2 euro for a day or 15 euro a year. You can buy on location or online at https://www.pwn.nl/duinkaartkopen
• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Water and snacks
• Optional: camera or phone for nature shots
