🌿 Hiking in Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen | READ WHOLE DESCRIPTION

Winter doesn't have to be boring! Let's escape the city and go to a beautiful nature area called the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. Expect open landscapes, quiet forest paths, scenic lakes, and if we’re lucky… wild deer and foxes along the way 🦌✨
This is an easy and social hike, perfect for anyone who wants fresh air and good conversations in a relaxed outdoor experience.

📅 Date: Saturday 21 March
🕥 Start time: 10:30 (please arrive 10–15 minutes early)
📍 Start & End: Bushalte Waterleiding, Aerdenhout
🥾 Distance: ±12 km loop (we finish at the same location)
🌱 Difficulty: Easy / relaxed pace
🐕 Important: Dogs are not allowed in this area (nature reserve rules)
After the hike, those who want can join for lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading home.

## 💳 Reservation System (Please Read)

Because our community has grown a lot, we now use a small reservation system to keep hikes enjoyable and manageable for everyone.
How it works:
• The event is published in advance so you can RSVP normally.
• One week before the hike, reservations will open.
• To confirm your spot, a €1.50 reservation fee (non-refundable) is required per person

This helps us:
✔ Check the weather and change it to Sunday if it's better
✔ reduce no-shows
✔ manage group size responsibly
✔ cover travel costs and the €200 yearly Meetup platform fee

⏳ Payment window:
People marked as “Going” will have the entire weekend to reserve their spot. Payment starts from 1 week before the event to make sure you can come and don't lose money because last minute change of plans!
🔄 After the weekend:
Anyone who hasn’t reserved will be moved to “Not Going,” and spots will be offered to people on the waiting list.
🎟️ Can’t come anymore?
You may resell or transfer your spot within our Whatsapp group so someone else can join.

• In winter we try to not stop too much, so make sure you can keep up with the group. The speed is beginner friendly.
• Please respect nature and stay on allowed paths.
