Prairie Oaks Metro Park River Path

A great 2 mile hike in West Columbus. Weather says it will be about 20 degrees and WILL BE icy

The route starts off on the "Darby Creek Trail" path then breaks off to go down to the river where it picks up a desire path for about 1 mile.

Then follows a stream bed back south back to the "Darby Creek" path.

There is a nice spot to stop about 1/2 up the stream bed for snack time and a rest, there are tons of beautiful spots to stop and relax along the river as well.

The "hard" parts are along the creek, your shoes may get muddy, and hiking up the stream bed.

Park Rangers say it is ok to be on the desire paths and the stream beds for hiking but they ask that there is a no smoking but vaping is fine. As always we try our best to follow the rules.
