Charity Ride: Cobble Monster

Details
For several years this has been a favourite fun ride in London that is similar in landscape to the Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders such as lung bursting steep hills and bone shaking cobble stones plus great camaraderie with the participants. This ride can be done on any bike at your own pace, but the limited event registration places go fast...

Where the money you raise goes
A word from the Evelina Children’s Hospital:-
Chances are you know a little girl or boy who is at the Evelina Children’s Hospital right now so you know how much our hospital means to children and parents alike.
The Evelina was designed by children for children and we make sure every little patient feels as good as possible. Creatively themed floors, multi-sensory experiences, art workshops and music, and definitely no ‘hospital smell’ are among the special ingredients at the Evelina.
Treating over 100,000 children a year, the Evelina has 140 in-patient beds, including 20 intensive care beds; over 50 neonatal/special care baby cot spaces of varying degrees of dependency; 5 dedicated operating theatres; one of only 3 hospital radio stations in the UK; a hospital school and a comprehensive imaging service for diagnosis and treatment, so this is no ordinary children’s hospital.
By raising money for the Evelina Children’s Hospital at Guy’s and St Thomas’ you can make an incredible difference to the lives of hundreds of young patients every year.
£1000 could purchase special gifts for children staying in hospital over Christmas
£2000 could help pay for baby ‘nests’ to keep 20 premature babies comfortable in their cots
£3000 could support our performing arts programme to give young patients the chance to relax and be entertained
£4000 could provide a mobile sensory unit to stimulate, develop and provide re-adjustment for children who have come from surgery, who have special needs or who are bed bound.
£5000 could help pay for a team of kidney transplant patients to compete for the Evelina in the national transplant games
£6000 could go towards the cost of a special care incubator.
There’s no arguing that The Evelina Children’s Hospital is a vital resource - all proceeds from The Cobble Monster (formerly the London Classic) contribute towards providing these services to help young patients.
