Let's Explore Walnut Creek Park near C'Ville

Winter is never kind to us when we schedule hikes in SNP. Last Saturday, we arrived at the entrance to find out that Skyline Drive was closed due to a sudden little snowstorm. So let's try something new. Walnut Creek Park is in North Garden, about 11 miles south of C'Ville. There are several trails through the park, centered on Walnut Creek.

From AllTrails: After the Jungle Trail, the path transitions into Luke's Trail, where the terrain becomes a little more varied. Here, you'll notice more rocky and uneven sections, but the trail remains well-maintained and clear. This area features some impressive vistas of the surrounding park, allowing you to catch glimpses of open fields and distant hills. The trail winds through both forested sections and more open spaces, creating a nice balance of environments.
