Montagne de Thiey from Canaux

The weather forecast looks good for Sunday, so we can hike up the Montagne de Thiey (1553 m), starting from the village of Canaux. This is a moderate level loop of about 11 km with 470 m of climb and should take about 5 hours including breaks.

We'll go through beech, birch and pine woods and the wildflower meadows should be in full bloom. The view from the summit is superb. You'll need usual mountain gear as detailed on the group's front page. Remember to bring a picnic and enough water to drink.
