Puy de Naouri

With the weather looking a bit cooler for Sunday, we can do this interesting hike from the plateau of Saint Barnabé to the Puy de Naouri. It's around 10 km with just over 300 m of climb and I've allowed 5 hours for it, which means a relaxed pace and plenty of time for breaks !
The high point of the Puy de Naouri, at 1024 m, provides panoramic views of the coast, the Mercantour and the arrière pays. The site was inhabited from neolithic times as a hilltop stronghold.
Although the pace will be relaxed, some parts of the track are steep and stony, and there is also the chance of a shower in the afternoon, so come prepared ! Full details of recommended hiking kit are on the group's front page.
