Friday-6/27, Lunch Party at Great China in Berkeley:,SW corner of the Campus

It's less than a mile walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station to Great China at Fulton & Bancroft. Walk south on Shattuck and make a left at Bancroft, go one block to the corner of Fulton & Bancroft. Great China is on the southwest corner, (but no sign saying Great China, look for the restaurant on the corner.)
Our favorite table at Great China holds 18 happy diners. So we can really have a swell party. It is also one of the nicest seating spots in Berkeley on the corner of Fulton & Bancroft looking out on that corner of the older part of the Campus, as we are surrounded by the restaurant's corner windows.

The luncheon special, with enough left over for dinner too, is out the door, including tax and a 21% tip, $25. But if we spend an extra, $5.00 per person, and we guarantee a bill of at least $30.00 per person we reach the minimum needed to allow a party to make a reservation. (With the extra five dollars we can order a round or two of say, Walnut Shrimp, pot of tea etc.)
Lastly another marvelous thing about this table, it is in a location to the side and not subject to the high noise level of a big crowded restaurant. So those with hearing impairment or anybody in general, can hear conversations more easily.

Therefore I need an accurate head count, of who all will be actually coming. (But getting an accurate head count for a Meetup event is very difficult proven time after time by my experience.)
In order to not be counted as a no-show you will have to cancel your RSVP by no later then 9:00am, Friday, June 27th.

We're a congenial group who regularly meet, on Fridays throughout the year, getting together for chatting and lunch.

Great China is a delight. Many consider it the best Chinese restaurant in Berkeley. Their lunch specials are generous and delicious. The Walnut Prawns and Black Bean Fish(Sea Bass) are to die for. The lunch special is like a sampler plate that if ordered ala cart would bring a check of over $35. plus tax and tip of about, $45.00. So thirty dollar cost today is reasonable.
