Let's kick off the riding season! Have you wanted to ride with the club but been too shy to do so? Then this is the ride for you. A ride for newcomers! Old timers are welcome as well, of course.
Description: A casual 10-12mph "party pace" ride with no drops. We will take Spring Creek East, past the Environmental Center and Rigden Reservoir to Arapaho Bend, where the ride becomes very scenic with trails wrapping around the ponds of Arapaho Bend. Round trip is approximately 17 miles from the starting point. We'll continue under the brand new underpass that connects Fort Collins to Timnath for lunch at Timnath Beerwerks, and then head back.
Meetup location: The junction of Spring Creek and Mason Trail at the tunnel. There is a stop sign here on the trail that you can't miss. I don't believe there is car parking at this spot, but you can park at the eastern terminus of Troutman Parkway and then bike to the location with me.
Notes: Bring any tubes, tools, water, sun screen, sealant, etc, that you think you'll need. I'll bring tools and can likely help anyone out with that part of it, but understand that some multi-tools can be incompatible with different bikes, valves, etc.
