Racehorse Falls!
A real and mostly unknown gem of Whatcom County!
Update: It looks like we are going to have fantastic weather with no rain!
A short and easy trail to a beautiful series of waterfalls.
Be sure to bring your camera (1/4 second shutter speed for soft falls photos).
The pathways near the falls are steep and dangerous and there are no guardrails so sturdy shoes and trekking poles are strongly advised and children and teenagers must be carefully supervised.
We will also continue on up the trail for a short distance to further enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.
on the way back from the hike we may try to find a nice little restaurant to relax and visit in.

Details:

We will meet at the Welcome Store parking lot: 5565 Mt Baker Hwy, Deming, WA at 9:00 AM and then drive together to the sometimes difficult to find trailhead.
(Please note: the Komoot map only shows the driving route to the trailhead, not the hike itself.)
Your guide will be driving a dark red 2015 Honda CRV license plate number: ATC 7877.
The whole event should be over by about noon.
