Brushy Creek Hike and Tex-Mex

Details
Hey Titans! Let's hike the trails along Brushy Creek Saturday the 27th at 8:00AM.
We will meet at Brushy Creek Sports Park, at the far west end of the parking lot (turn right after you pull into the Sports Park and park by the skate park and basketball court). I'll be in a blue hat with a gray and black backpack.
The plan is to hike ~4.5 to 5 miles on fairly difficult trails. ~30% of the hike will be on the paved Brushy Creek Regional Trail, and the rest on side trails, which can be rocky, a bit challenging, and potentially muddy for this hike. These are mountain biking trails so there's the risk of running into bikers. Be aware. Announce bikers to your fellow hikers.
Wear good shoes and bring at least 2 liters of water. It could be very hot (and probably humid) by the end of the hike. Please make sure you are acclimated to the heat and can ensure you can finish the hike. I also recommend sunscreen and a hat, although the forecast is calling for a chance of rain, so rain gear is a good idea too. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on a leash.
This area is known to flood, so we've turned this into a semi-urban hike before. Be open-minded and hope for traversable terrain. It's still a site to see when it is flooded.
After the hike, we can meet nearby at Mama Betty's Tex-Mex y Cantina for food and drinks. You might want to bring a change of clothes and shoes if it's going to be raining. https://maps.app.goo.gl/DZK4tH5Xvgf4KNiz8
See you there!
