NEW Hungry Point Cliff Walk, Royal National Park, Picnic... Drinks!
Details
What a beauty this one is... two completely different hikes, the oldest ferry in Sydney, The Royal National Park, lovely Cronulla, and a new walkway with beauuuuutiful ocean views. Here we go!
THE HIKE, #1
The Jibbon Loop is a beautiful 6kms loop in The Royal National Park, and it starts off with a 20minute ride on Sydney's oldest ferry (sorry, gotta pay return trip - not on Opal network). It's unforgettable.
(Oh, first we meet at 915am at Cronulla Ferry Wharf. The ferry leaves 930am. Don't miss it!)
We'll walk along Jibbon Beach, and head around RNP's Coastal Walk before a bit before cutting through the bush and back towards Bundeena, a super cute / artsy community - population +2,000. Let's do a picnic lunch on the beach eh? Jibbon and Bundeena Beach are amazing. There's an IGA that sells booze too - grab a beer or two while we wait for the next ferry back.
THE HIKE, #2
When we jump off the ferry, we'll do the Cronulla Loop (6kms), with of course a stop at Hungry Point Lookout - newly built (pic) - thanks for the reminder / nudge Legend Member Sammy S. The walk is easy and paved. It's great for perving and petting pups. Cronulla used to be this fair-dinkum-VB-drinkin' type town, but it's grown up with plenty of great bars, restaurants, and looooooovely beaches.
Oh. And the ocean views and rockpools are stunning - we'll stop for a 15min swim if you all are keen.
Drink after? Sweet. Let's do it. It's a Saturday after all. I'll plan somewhere cool.
See you then! MJ
