Hike @ Fort Ben

Details
Happy Fourth weekend! On Saturday, we'll return to the trails at this great local spot for what will roughly be a two-hour hike. Our plan will be to start from the Delaware Lake parking lot and then make our way across the park on a paved trail to hike the Schoen Creek trail. We'll then return to where we started at the lake. Altogether we'll be doing roughly five miles. Be sure to bring plenty to drink!
The address for the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park is 6000 North Post Road and that can be used as the mapping location if needed. I've been finding the Meetup site's mapping functionality isn't accurate, so I haven't added a map in this posting.
Admission to Fort Ben is $7.
We'll meet at the parking lot next to Delaware Lake. After passing by the gatehouse, you’ll take the first right you come to and this road will take you back to the parking lot. A map of the park is located here; just scroll down to the Maps section. After arriving, look for the group of us in the parking lot.
Car Pool Info: For anyone interested in a car pooling from Bishop Chatard High School, please drop me a line.
For anyone interested in a bite to eat after the hike, we'll be going to the Panera Bread right outside the park. The address is 9145 E 56th Street.
Terrain: Moderate overall; roughly 5 miles
Time: About 2 hours
See you on Saturday,
Michael
