Slieve Foye, Carlingford Co Louth.

Details
MEETING POINT: Saturday at 11am at the tourist office on the coast road in Carlingford. Sat nav or Google map ref: N54.04075 W6.18504.
15km with 700m of ascent.
This is about 1.5 hours from Dublin centre but better to leave a bit more time. Hopefully the car park has spaces.
This is a wonderful place, especially in good weather, and the forecast is sunny!
The route passes through Carlingford town following the Tain Way up to the saddle between Barnavave and Slieve Foye. From here it heads straight for the summit. From Slieve Foye I hope to make it a linear route, leaving cars in Omeath, and to go north west, and then west, taking in the number of small peaks before descending to the road at the Long Woman's Grave or Windy Gap and walking the road to Omeath. Alternatively it can be done as a loop, descending north from The Eagles Rock to pick up the Tain Way leading back to Carlingford.
