Camaderry from Glendalough, return on Saint Kevin's Way
Details
MEETING POINT: 11:00 outside the entrance arch to the Monastic village which is just past the bridge after the hotel in Glendalough where there are usually stalls or pop-up shops. For Sat Nav or Google maps N53.01126 W6.32627
There's a car park (paid parking) just before the hotel.
10 km and 550m ascent approx, 4 to 5 hours.
From Glendalough, I plan to start out on St Kevin's way before zig zagging up through the forest on to the Camaderry ridge. Descent is down through the mining ruins north of the mountain and back along St Kevin's way following the Glendasan river. Nothing too difficult on this one but the descent from Camaderry is fairly steep though on a track of sorts.
